A Payment Gateway is a mechanism used for collecting, authorising and storing card data on behalf of merchants. Typically it is connected to a website via an Ecommerce shopping cart or payment module (e.g. WooCommerce, OpenCart, Shopify). The purchaser enters their credit or debit card details encrypted into a secure environment on the Payment Service Provider’s servers who in turn sends the data through to the card clearing bank for authorisation.

A Merchant Account is a service provided by an acquiring bank to enable business to accept card payments. Transactions are processed using a merchant ID for authorisation but no money is held in a Merchant Account, instead the money is settled via the acquiring bank into the merchant’s chosen bank account (normally a business bank account).

An acquiring bank is a financial institution that processes debit and credit cards on behalf of a merchant. Acquiring banks provide the merchant facilities and settlement of the merchants funds earned through payment processing.

In order to use the AllSecure Payment Gateway services you will need to have or be able to obtain an Internet Merchant Account. If you do not already have one we will be able to forward your application to one of the partner acquiring banks we work with.

The AllSecure Payment gateway currently supports VISA, VISA DEBIT, MASTERCARD, MASTERCARD DEBIT, MAESTRO and American Express. However, this is not the end of it. Besides cards, AllSecure supports various Alternative Payment Methods such as IDEAL, KLARNA, SOFORT…

AllSecure Payment Gateway is a level 1 PCI accredited gateway which is the highest level accreditation. We have become accredited so you do not have to and by using our gateway, card details are seamlessly taken on our secure system which has been rigorously tested to the highest standards in security.

3D-Secure is an extra layer of security when using your credit card for online transactions. AllSecure will ask you to enter your 3D Secure password (different from the PIN), which is called Verified by Visa, MasterCard SecureCode and American Express SafeKey.

With fraud prevention, online retailers protect themselves against fraud and data misuse in real time during the ordering process. An online shop operator or e-business entrepreneur can use various creditworthiness and plausibility checks for this purpose. These are carried out before the actual payment. Incorrect address data, email addresses, stolen account or credit card data and negative creditworthiness can be checked using blacklists and credit agencies. In addition, the fraud prevention modules protect with IP and double booking blocks as well as session and limit checks.
